The Cambodia Footwear Association (CFA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to developing Cambodia’s footwear industry. One of the main methods it looks to do this is by focusing on helping its members grow. So CFA needed a website that would be a hub to access relevant information, industry news, and association events.

To meet their needs, I designed a custom WordPress website that is user-friendly, responsive, and clean-looking. Structurally, I provided easy access to news, the latest government regulations, and events.

To meet the goals of the information design, I created three custom plugins.

The first organizes laws and regulations from the Cambodian government into categories by ministry and year. Now, with just a few clicks, members can stay up-to-date with the latest regulations affecting their business. The second does the same for association news articles.

The final plugin was for CFA’s events. It serves up an easy-to-use calendar that displays all previous events and allows members to sign up for upcoming ones directly through the website.

In addition to the custom plugins, I crafted a WordPress theme that was visually appealing and easy to navigate.

Visually, I used a mix of rectangles and curved lines to communicate professionalism and flexibility. And the use of CSS animations alongside large imagery gives the site dynamism. I designed the theme to be responsive to provide a great-looking site on any device.

To ensure ease of use, I worked hand-in-hand with my client to conduct extensive user testing during development. This collaborative approach gave me valuable insight into how they used the site, where I could improve functionality, and identify any potential issues.

Overall, the Cambodia Footwear Association website was a success. The bespoke theme and plugins I made helped the association to achieve its goal of providing relevant, continually updated information to its members, making it an invaluable resource.
